The public pressure that gave birth to the 60s sexual liberation eventually led to a massive erotic explosion in the 1970s. This influenced many aspects of adult life and culture like the cinema (with the advent of  X rated movies), magazines (with hundreds of girlie publications) and erotic comic books.

A furious battle of prosecutions, indictments, seizures and trials ensued, involving publishers, printers, and even the writers or artists. Thankfully legal action was not enough to close the floodgates on this phenomenon.

The pictures of the early seventies which are shown in this free publications, of course, did not pass - but just for a short while - the censorship "customs".

They are the work of well known French glamor lensmen of the time : Jean-Pierre Bourgeois, Michel Moreau, Jean Rougeron, Michel Richard, and Rex Features.
